Personal Data

This visual library enables you to see what your data looks like and how it is used on the ‘other side’ of the screen – what mobile-phone providers, internet providers or websites are seeing about you and your preferences and habits – as well as demystifying some of the ways in which your data is used. What is scoring? How are you being profiled? And what is an algorithm? These short films take you on a variety of ‘data journeys’ revealing the life patterns you create using your devices and how this information is tracked, analysed and traded by others, from the use of your data in elections to the use of your data by dating platforms.
